Let Me Introduce You To My Favourite Autumn Red

In a dream world, I could pull off rusty reds. But alas I can't. Orange and brown tones seem to clash with my fair skin and just don't look right and that makes me sad. To satisfy my yearning, I set myself a task to find a blue-toned red that has a hint of rust. Amazingly, I think I may have finally found it and it's from my favourite budget brand, Kiko!
Now true rusty lip fans are probably scoffing at the implication that this is a rusty, warm toned red, but for me it's perfect. The shade is Apple Red from Kiko's Velvet Mat- Satin Lipstick range and it's right in the middle of the warm/cool spectrum. It's quite cool, but still has a hint of orangey warmth and, for pale girls like me, it's perfect especially during Autumn!

It's not only the colour that has me smitten with this lipstick, it has a super impressive formula too. Kiko calls it their Mat-Satin lipstick and that sums it up pretty well. It's not glossy or shiny, but it's not fully matte either and because of that you get the best of both worlds. It's comfortable, moisturising, yet it stays put and looks great for hours. The packaging is lovely too. It's hard to believe it's so affordable because it looks so good and feels so high-end. Oh, and it smells delicious too! It's a dream lipstick.
Due to its creamy formula I prefer to use it with a lip brush to apply. I'm generally rubbish at applying lipstick anyway so using a brush definitely helps me apply it more evenly and get a crisp line. I should probably also use a lip pencil too, but I'm lazy so that ain't gonna happen!
It's another win from Kiko. I'm beginning to think this brand can do no wrong! This lipstick is gorgeous, it's perfect for Autumn and makes me want to buy everything else on the Kiko website. In fact, I just saw that they have some liquid lipsticks and oh yes, they will be mine!
