Chic Sea Captain’s House

I’m headed to Sag Harbor tomorrow and I can’t wait for a little respite away from the city. It’s my favorite place in the Hamptons since it’s more low key and relaxed than other areas. All the architecture out east is lovely but for some reason it looks even more charming in Sag Harbor. Maybe because the town began as an old fishing village. That’s why I love this Sea Captain’s House that Steven Gambrel designed in the town. It was built in 1835 and was renovated to keep as much of the original details as possible. Maybe I’ll have to take a look for my own little weekend house while I’m away.
