Starting off the new year on a positive note is always so exciting. It’s a clean slate. A reminder to always live in the present, not the past nor future. Life always happens in unexpected ways, but that’s the beauty and excitement of it. Every single year, I learn something about myself. Whether it be my strength, my courage, or my wisdom. To ring in the new year, I partnered up with Express for a completely fresh take on the girl boss outfit. I’ve been through my whole past year wearing EXPRESS and my outfits resonate with so many amazing memories for me. This time, I wanted something extra classic and statement making. An oversized boyfriend jacket, a cut-out tank, and mid rise leggings in my lucky color red. What I love about Express’s latest collection is they have mastered clean, crisp, wearable pieces. Little pops of color always add to a really classic look. A clean slate doesn’t just mean what I’m wearing…it’s a new mindset. What do I want to self improve on? What motivates me at the moment? How do I wake up every single day feeling the best version of myself? This year I’m dedicating every single morning to have a crisp, clear positive mindset. It can simply be by doing a morning meditation, burning some incense, and planning out my week to some relaxing music. It’s dedicating one day a week to my older passions, like guitar and singing. It’s all these little things in my daily life that keep me grounded, focused, and inspired. There’s so much more to accomplish in 2017 that keeps me going. Working closely with my readers. Creating more videos. Exploring new places. Daring to be different. It only takes a little bit of extra attention and time to be a better sister, daughter, friend, and lover. It’s about being thoughtful with every decision I make. Sticking with my gut. Doing what always feels right. It’s about being completely honest with myself and those around me. Everyday is a new day to make some magic happen.
