5 inspiring ways to use your natural basket
How are you using your natural basket or are planning to use it once you get yours? Here are five inspiring and practical ways of using it….
1/ As a planter
I love how talented Stylist and Photographer Line Kay used hers as a planter, which adds textures to her room and it works well with her Papyrus plant. Actually I love the whole look of her room, this grey rug is to die for! (nice rugs here, here, here and here). As an alternative to the traditional planter, I’m using this paper bag (or this one for bigger plants) in our London home.
2/ To store throws & blankets When I first added
the basket to our collection, our mostly used mine in
our lounge (below) to store our throws and hide the TV remote controls (
I hate electricals on display!). Since
the renovations, the basket has been moved to our
new bathroom and I’m going to use a couple in Mila’s bedroom to store her toys once they’re back in stock.
3/ To store towels My friend
Elisabeth uses hers in her bathroom to store
bath towels. If you haven’t seen her amazing bathroom with concrete floors, read
here (antique elm stool below from
here)
4/ As a laundry basket At some point, I was really struggling to find a nice laundry basket and eventually I got a tall, seagrassl basket from
The White Company which you can see in
our loft conversion here. I think they are sold out now but if you’re after a natural feel, then the natural basket will work well too. I also like
this Korbo basket for an industrial feel.
5/ In the office Maria uses her in the office (what a nice view to look at). Not sure if she uses it as a paper bag or just as storage basket but it looks nice in her workspace (similar wire basket on her desk from here)
