Style diary | January

Happy January beautys, and welcome to my first blog post of the year. I am so incredibly grateful for all the good things that came my way in 2015, and beyond excited for this year and what's to come. This blog is one of the things I really want to improve and enjoy the most this year, and I'm going to begin the new year with a new series! Every month I will be (attempting!) to post my style diary, which will be details of my favourite outfit that I've been loving wearing that month. January's outfit is this preppy, cute and classic Topshop ensemble. Camel has probably been my favourite go to colour to wear this Winter, as it means I can stick to my light and bright style, but it's still a season appropriate colour, whereas baby pink and pastel blue often isn't! High necks have also been a total staple for me- ordinary crew necks just don't feel right anymore!

Paired with my camel high neck are these utterly ADORABLE little tweed shorts. With the khaki green and brown tweed, the side buckle straps and the neat pleats, they have a gorgeous, real English Heritage feel, and I am ALL about that. They are totally wearable, and probably the cutest, most seasonally stylish shorts I've come across this Winter.
These black Chelsea boots have hardly left my feet in the last couple of months. I'm a huge Kurt Geiger fan, and as always these did not disappoint. I adore the unsurpassable classic that is a Chelsea boot, and the gorgeous black suede with elastic detail, the subtle heel, not to mention the absolute total comfort even when worn all day, you really can't go wrong with these Miss KG beauties. A timeless classic that I will no doubt continue wearing almost every day until they fall off my feet, which isn't too likely with the high quality of Kurt Geiger.

Next, I have the high street bag of 2015, that I will certainly be carrying proudly into 2016. I have talked about this bag before, as it's one of the loves of my life! Whilst the Chloe 'Drew' bag is heartbreakingly out of my reach at the moment, this Topshop beauty has been the perfect alternative. With the gorgeous white and nude two-tone, the stunning nude suede tassel and long gold chain, this bag is ultra feminine, sophisticated and outrageously stylish, and has been my go to bag when I want to take something smaller and lighter than a handbag. Absolutely one of my all time favourite bags.

Finally, I have this cute little camel pure wool fedora. Hats can be difficult but I find this so easy to wear. It is the most versatile colour and style, meaning it literally looks good with anything, and adds the perfect finishing touch to any outfit. This is one of those pieces that I always say could transform an outfit, making it go from pretty average (i.e. jeans and a shirt), to super cool and stylish instantly. The black band round the top gives it a real 'Uptown' vibe, and is totally classy with just the right amount of 'edge'.

I always get lots of compliments and questions about this lipstick in my Instagram pictures and Youtube comments, and it is my current favourite lipstick that I reach for every day. It is called Honey Love, from Mac. It is similar to the super popular Velvet Teddy, except it is less harsh and severe, and has a softer tone with a very subtle hint of pink. It is the PERFECT nude, and with a matte formula, it stays put for a good while. I love it so much! My perfume of choice this month has been Dior's 'Miss Dior'. It has the most beautiful fresh, pretty scent, and is the perfect combination of sophistication and youth. Not to mention it has THE most beautiful actual bottle I think you can buy!
