In his post-work hours, you might find Nashville interior designer Benjamin Vandiver relaxing with his favorite cocktail, a martini. And that makes a lot of sense because the drink, like the homes Vandiver creates, is a classic. In fact, when he describes his style, Vandiver says, “At heart I’m a minimalist, with a love for anything considered classic. Classic pieces, with a luxury fabric – I’m sold.”

In fact, he was recently named one of Vogue’s “5 Young Interior Designers to Watch" and a “Designer to Watch” by Architectural Digest. It isn’t only the press that’s enamored. Vandiver has designed homes for celebrity clients such as Nashville’s Hayden Panetierre and Connie Britton and Kings of Leon’s Nathan Followill. He purges his own home every month to keep clutter at bay and enjoys simplicity after a day on a job site. “Give me a nice set of white sheets, a few--usually old--things I love, and I’m happy.”
