DIY Donut Pegboard

I’ve wanted to make a donut pegboard for a few years now and I figured National Donut Day is as good a time as any. This is one of those things that make a BIG impact at a party. It takes an hour or so to put together but will be Instagrammed like crazy and remembered for years. Totally worth it! All you need is a trip to the hardware store (I had them cut it down the pegboard for me!) and then cut the dowels down to the right size and voila! You’re set.

Materials Needed: Pegboard (we purchased a standard pegboard and had the hardware store cut it in half to 4′ x 4′), paint, paint roller, 10 dowels, ruler, pencil, gloves, hand saw, sandpaper, donuts!

Step 1: Lay the pegboard down on a protected surface. Paint and repeat with multiple coats until the color is even. Let dry. (This is optional, we’re just partial to pink!)

Step 2: Mark the dowels at 3.5″ long

Step 3: Cut down dowels (if you clamp them you can do a few at a time.)

Step 4: Sand the dowel ends to get a nice, clean finish.

Step 5: Insert the dowels into the pegboard and top with donuts. Easy!
