MY DIY | Beaded Tassel Jewelry

As soon as the weather starts getting warmer the bracelet making begins! My wardrobe for the last couple weeks has solely consisted of the colors black & white, so this is my first attempting at introducing a little color into the mix. I was stoked to see that layering jewelry and added tassels is still on trend in the world of fashion… I started making a couple bracelets, and ended up with a bunch (first come, first server, friends!) plus a few necklaces. Steps and supplies after the break…

All the details: Make you own triangle wire bracelet here, get the kit for DIY triangle jewelry dish here. Bar bracelet from Lizzibeth.

What you need:
Color seed beads
Gold seed beads
Metallic embroidery floss
Lobster Clasps
Jump Rings
Jewelry pliers
Monofilament

What to do:
Cut a piece of monofilament line a yard long and fold in half. Thread on a jumpring and and tie a knot in the bend on the line.
Thread the other sides of the line through a needle and start adding beads in your desired order.
When you reach the end, take off the needle and tie on the lobster clasp. Triple knot and cut off the ends
Now, make your tassels by wrapping the metallic embroidery floss around two of your fingers
Pull off your fingers and put your jumpring through the middle of the string loops, the close the jumpring.
Wrap a piece of string just below the large jumpring and double knot.
Cut the bottom of the loops to make the tassel.
Trim the bottom so ends are even.
Add to your beaded bracelet. Done!
