MY DIY | Tie-Dyed Watercolor Napkins

I am feeling a bit better and wanted to sneak in one more project before Easter (turns out the flu does not care about one’s posting schedule.) The good news is, this project is super quick and easy, the results are so pretty, and these napkin can be used for all your Spring dinner parties. I was inspired by the tablecloth in my post earlier this week, by the artist Margrethe Odgaard, because I loved how beautifully the colors blended together. So I dug deep into my middle school days and my obsession for tie-dyeing to create a similar look for my dinner napkins. Kinda loving this more grown up version of tie-dye! Steps and supplies after the break…

What you need:
Cotton dinner Napkins
Tumble Dye (My favorite dye, bright colors and you set it by just throwing in the dryer)
A dryer or iron

What to do:
First, fold the napkin accordion-style the long way.
Then, fold the napkin accordion-style again to create a rectangle shape.
Pour your dye into separate containers, no need to add water.
Dip each side into a different color. If you want less white space, dip your napkin in further.
Unfold you napkin, and let dry on a flat surface.
Heat set the dye in the dryer or with an iron.
