T&P tries out Standard Shirt Company

Recently I was introduced to Standard Shirt Company and was intrigued by their business model of offering fitted white dress shirts via their online shop. On their website, they offer two different styles, a Standard White Cutaway Wide Collar Shirt and a Standard White Spread Collar Shirt. I decided to order the Cutaway Collar Shirt for my handsome assistant, Spencer, to model. I figure, it’s a little something different so why not go for it? We used the “Find Your Measurements” feature which asked simple questions like, ” What is your T-Shirt Size?”, “How tall are you?” and “How do you feel about Slim Cut?”. Simple questions that most men can answer. However, dear Men, please ask for a second opinion as I find that the most common style mistake is wearing the wrong size. Often times, it’s wearing a size too big. In this case, Spencer is about 6 feet tall with a slender build, so I opted for getting him a slim cut.

I placed the order and a couple days later, a 15 1/2 (neck), 35 1/2(sleeve length) appeared in the mail in a nicely packaged box. It was a super easy process and the quality of the shirt was pretty impressive. I’d definitely recommend Standard Shirt for an easy and affordable way to purchase a fitted white dress shirt, a versatile staple in menswear.

For this outfit, Spencer paired the Standard Shirt with a vintage tie from Liberty of London, a navy pender liner jacket by Carharrt, dark blue H&M jeans, and H by Hudson Cruise Desert Boots and Ray-Ban wayfarer sunglasses.
