THE LOFT, AMSTERDAM :: MY DREAM WORK SPACE

As someone who is a big fan of re-imagining spaces, I’m fascinated by The Loft – a stunning architectural space in Amsterdam that has been brought to life in many different forms over the past few years by interior designers, artists, and their in-house creative team.

After recently stumbling across their portfolio, I realized I had seen the space before, but not the most current version, which is what I’m going to share with you today. Starting with a suspended metallic shark…

Yes, there are many inventive, unique details in this space, but this might be my favorite. This open bathroom moment that is defined by a tub on top of an area rug, and the shark above. SO COOL.

But let me show you the whole thing before you decide what your favorite is…

The totally open floor plan is filled with items from the Loft’s furniture collection, as well as other new and vintage selections. I love that big open modern canopy bed…

In this ‘version’ of the Loft (there have been three total, if you’re counting), the designer included this cool workspace, from which I’m absolutely stealing the idea of turning fabric panels into inspiration boards. The scissors installation is pretty cool too.

Behind the sofa and just around the corner is this very amazing kitchen…

Talk about industrial chic. Love the use of black marble, and olive green – a tone that is carried into the other side of the space in the bench seats that extend under a curated black and white gallery wall.

To see versions one and two of the space, head over to the Loft portfolio! I’m curious to know which version is your favorite! (I’m leaning towards #2 but I love this one as well!). I have to say I’ve always been a fan of this concept of creating a space that feels like a home, but is shoppable. I have a feeling we’ll be keeping this dream workspace in mind for future homes of coco kelley!
