Ankle Boot Outfits - Casual and Business Casual

For the third and final post on ankle boots, I've created 6 outfits to give you some different styling ideas. A few people asked how to wear ankle boots for an office or work, so I broke the outfits into two categories, casual and business casual. In each category there is an outfit with pants, a skirt, and a dress.
One random note: If anyone was looking for the booties with the cutout in the front, I found two options, though they are a little pricey One is HERE (very pricey), and a second with a lower heel and half the price is HERE.
Anyway, depending on how professionally you need to dress (business vs. business casual), I would stick to sleeker styles of ankle boots, maybe ones with pointier toes and/or thinner heels, and without buckles or pronounced zippers. Also choosing leather, as opposed to suede, can help the outfit look more polished.

Shop Outfit #1:
Top: J.Crew Factory (exact)
Vest: J.Crew Factory (exact, Old Navy lookalike here)
Jeans: LOFT (exact)
Shoes: Nordstrom (exact)

This will probably be my go-to outfit for the fall!

Shop Outfit #2:
Top: J.Crew Factory (exact--on major sale, similar Old Navy here)
Sweatshirt: J.Crew Factory (exact--on major sale)
Skirt: Target (exact--only $7!)
Bag: Old Navy (exact)
Shoes: Nordstrom (exact)
Necklace: J.Crew Factory (exact)

Layer a sweatshirt over a chambray top for added warmth and interest. The sweatshirt keeps a pencil skirt feeling laid back and casual.

Shop Outfit #3:
Dress: Old Navy (exact)
Scarf: J.Crew Factory (exact)
Bag: Sole Society (exact)
Shoes: Nordstrom (exact)

Take a neutral cotton or jersey dress and pair it with any patterned or colored scarf. You can't see it in the small collage above, but this scarf has white stitched through for a subtle pattern. Then, add other neutral accessories. I love cognac and grey together! Well, I love cognac and anything, really. :)

Shop Outfit #4:
Top: Nordstrom (exact)
Pants: LOFT (exact)
Necklace: J.Crew Factory (exact)
Shoes: Nordstrom (exact)

If I wear closed-toe shoes with trousers, I prefer they have more of a point so that my foot doesn't drown in my pants.

Shop Outfit #5:
Top: LOFT (exact)
Sweater: LOFT (exact)
Skirt: ASOS (exact)
Shoes: Nordstrom (exact)

I paired this pretty scalloped pencil skirt with a shirt in colors that are sort of next to each other in the color wheel--reds/purple-y pink. For more warmth I added a sweater in the same neutral color as the boots. For an office look I opted for a simpler and sleeker boot.

Shop Outfit #6:
Dress: LOFT (exact, similar black white version)
Shoes: Nine West via 6pm.com (exact)

I went with leather booties for this, though you could also wear this dress with black tights and the boots from Outfit #4.
