My Type of Morning

For pretty much my entire life, I was never a morning person. All those people that would wake up, cheerful, perky and ready to start the day, I never understood how that was even possible. These days, I'm not exactly sure what shifted (maybe age?) but admittedly, I love the mornings more than any time of day. Now, I wouldn't go as far as saying that I'm a morning person, nor am I quite ready for intense human conversation, but I do love that quiet time of day and the feeling of a fresh start. The one thing I love and truly look forward to, is waking up to the thought of breakfast and my morning cup of hot coffee.

When Nespresso asked me to talk about my daily coffee routine, it was a no brainer. For one, we've had a Nespresso machine in our home for many years and secondly, we take our coffee pretty seriously.

This time around, I got to try their newest Evoluo machine from the Vertuo Line range, in celebration of their a cup above campaign with, George Clooney. I've had other machines in the past, but what I love most about this one is that it brews both full cups of coffee and espresso, with the smoothest crema on top. Depending on my mood, some days I wake up craving a regular cup of coffee and on others, a cappuccino (with extra cinnamon, always).

On most days, I wake up fairly early and after walking the dogs, I eat a little something and sit down with my morning cup. I put on Good Morning America, check emails, catch up on blogs, update my own and then finally head upstairs to get ready for the day. It's a simple morning, but it's my way of experiencing a cup above.

Also side note: all of the capsules from Nespresso are recyclable. Love that! There's a few different ways to recycle, but the easiest one is with pre-paid recycling bags - you can just drop them off at one of the 88,000 UPS drop off locations arose the country.
