January 2016 Favorites!

January was an interesting month. I went to Disney World early in the month, and basically spent the last couple weeks catching up on work and everything else I got behind on while on vacation. That isn’t a complaint of course; I had an AMAZING trip and Run Disney puts on the BEST races! So I guess you could say that is my first favorite: Run Disney and Disney World in general. Now, onto the beauty favorites!

Kat Von D Monarch palette: Since I’m on an eyeshadow ban (definitely NOT a favorite) I’ve been having a lot of fun digging into my palettes and shadows. This palette is so beautiful and I love pairing it with bright shades.

Stila In the Light palette: Since I’m trying to hit pan on this palette, I’ve been using this in conjunction with most of my makeup these days. I’m remembering how much I love it though, so that’s great!

Katy Perry Mad Potion perfume: Oh, how I love this scent. It’s basically a grown-up cotton candy. Just sweet enough, but not overwhelmingly so.

Wet ‘n’ Wild Mega-glo Contouring Palette: This little palette is a drugstore GEM! This was released last year (I had that one and tossed it because the formula was awful), and reformulated this year. The reformulation is 100x better than the old one. My shade is Dulce De Leche. I use it for bronzing and highlighting since I don’t really contour.

Charlotte Tilbury Rock ‘n’ Kohl Eyeliner in Amber Moon: This is the best eyeliner pencil I have EVER used. It is so creamy and doesn’t get stuck on my lids or in my shadow. I love it! Plus, the color is gorgeous.

Whisper, Amber Moon, Guimauve, Wet ‘n’ Wild palette

Surratt Beauty Artistique Blush in Guimauve: I wanted to try something from Surratt and heard good things about their blushes. Guimauve is described as “marshmallow pink” and after seeing swatches of it, I fell in love. The formula is lovely and I adore the minimalist packaging.

Nude Stix Lip & Cheek Pencil in Whisper: I got this pencil in the Sephora Give Me Some Nude Lip kit. I love the color and it is barely noticeable on the lips!

Maybelline Falsies Push-Up Drama mascara: This was in the Target beauty box in January. It doesn’t keep my lashes curled, but I like the length and volume it gives. Plus, it doesn’t transfer at all.

Physicians Formula Quartz Quartet quad: The Physicians Formula matte shadow quads are severely underrated. These are amazing shadows, both for the drugstore price point and just in general. It’s hard to find good mattes, and these are incredible.

What are your January favorites? I love to hear them! :)
