Introducing Stylized Autumn

Hello and welcome back to the second day of the Papertrey Ink Countdown!

I am back again with some more previews of my second stamp set! But before I go any further, I want to thank you all SO much for the very sweet comments and messages you have sent about my new designs! I have been floored to be honest with you! I was never ever expecting this much enthusiasm, and I am just really speechless. I was nervous putting new designs out in a stamp world which already contained so many talented designers. You all have been so supportive and I can't thank you enough :)

So here we go! So many fun things coming to Papertrey Ink this month! I absolutely love the fall and Christmas releases! I'm in love with everything this month! All of the new products will be in the store on August 15th, 9:00PM, EST!

Now if the weather would just cool down ;)

My second set is called Stylized Autumn. I am a big fan of graphic design, clean lines and symmetry. I also love love leaves and leafy things, little animals and flowers! This set combines all of these things, with lots of fun images you can cluster and layer together to create different scenes.

My little fox. I love that little guy! For my background, I watercolored with some Peerless watercolors on Master's Touch watercolor paper. I stamped all of the elements, cut them out with the matching dies, and clustered them to create this sweet fall scene. The sentiment is stamped in Dark Chocolate. The leafy branch I stamped in several different colors using the MISTI. I used Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, and Cocoa Bean.

I added a few dark brown sequins to finish it up.

And then I wanted to show how this same set can be used for winter or Christmas card too! Just stamp the leafy branch and leaves in a dark green and the flowers in red and you have nice Christmas colors! The fox I stamped in Stormy Sea. He's an arctic fox now :) And the sentiment I've used here works great for Christmas cards!

The background is Everygreen Bough Distress ink blended on watercolor paper, then sprinkled with water. I also trimmed the bottom of my card with some Pure Poppy white patterned paper. All of the elements were adhered with foam tape, and the sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Okay, I do realize that this does not look exactly like an autumn card, um... more like Spring Blessings would work better. But you know, not everyone lives in an area where the trees change colors. Anyway, you can see how you could just use the flowers to create fun spring or anytime cards just by changing out your sentiment and colors.

Again, the background was watercolored, and I added a few tiny white dots with some acrylic paint. The flowers in this set come with different centers so there are several unique combinations you can create! That's kind fun! I like that sort of thing :)

That is all from me today! I'll be back tomorrow with the first group post! So many beautiful things this month!

All of the new products will be available at Papertrey Ink on August 15th, at 9:00PM EST!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Kay :)
