I used the Watercolor Wings and Definitely Dahlia stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share today. I love these two new stamp sets!! Okay, I love all of the new stamp sets, but these are my favorites today. ;)
The design for my card is loosely based on Freshly Made Sketches 189.
The colors for my card were based on Can You Case It #73.
I started by stamping the image from the Definitely Dahlia stamp in Blushing Bride ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock. I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL, then to a Sahara Sand card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the images from the Watercolor Wings photopolymer stamp set in Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride and Tuxedo Black Memento Inks on a Whisper White panel. I cut the image out with the matching Bold Butterfly Framelits Die and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I cut a butterfly from White Vellum with the smaller butterfly from the Bold Butterfly Framelits Die set and adhered it with a Glue Dot over the larger butterfly. I pulled a strand of Whisper White Baker’s Twine through a Blushing Bride button from the Subtles Designer Buttons pack, tied a little bow, then adhered it with a Glue Dot to the butterflies.
I stamped the sentiment from the Watercolor Wings stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a strip of Whisper White card stock. I inked the dot image from that stamp set in Sahara Sand ink, stamped it on scrap paper once, then stamped it over the sentiment. I punched the end with the Banner Triple Punch, then adhered it with SNAIL to a strip of Basic Black card stock that I’d also punched with the Banner Triple Punch, then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped two of the smaller butterfly images from the Watercolor Wings stamp set in Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride and Tuxedo Black Memento inks on a Whisper White panel inside the card.
