Steal This Look: His and Hers, Mid-Century Inspired Kids’ Bedrooms
Recently spotted and admired in Gray Magazine: playful yet modern kids’ bedrooms designed to grow with the child.
When Brandon Ebel, President of Seattle’s Tooth & Nail Records, first spied a white-washed, brick cottage in the city’s Magnolia neighborhood, he fell in love with the home’s historic details and stunning water views, but not the dated interiors. To rescue the home from “1980s design purgatory,” as he says, he turned to Seattle-based interior designer Brian Paquette.
Throughout the home, Paquette sought to highlight the architectural details of the 1932 cottage—such as the arched windows with leaded-glass panes—by keeping the interiors clean and simple. A fresh palette and minimal furnishings, paired with individual details, complement the original character of the home.
