I've been working on cleaning out my closet and trying to be more intentional with my fashion purchases. One thing I lack in particular are some great basics that can be worn again and again, mixed and matched, and transitioned into different seasons. I'm such a sucker for purchasing anything that catches my eye, even if it's not the most practical or can't be worn in a variety of ways.
I've been
pinning some style inspiration lately that represents my own comfort, and decided to make note of the pieces that made regular appearances in an effort to accomplish this task. What I've found are the similar to the items above, and they've made their way onto my own personal shopping list.
I tend to be drawn to clothing with unique details, like the ones in the image. The slit in the maxi skirt, the twist front of the white tee, the quilted shoulders of the pullover, and the buckle details on the boots and bag. A unique feature adds a little bit of interest, making those basics not so basic. I think that a lot can be done with these items and they can easily be dressed up a little more with some accessories!
What are some of your fashion staples, and are you intentional with your purchases?
