Elegant floral wedding at Sezincote in the Cotswolds, England

We have to say, we sure are kicking off March on a high note with this floral wedding in England coming to us from Liz Linkleter Events and photog Dominique Bader. Max and Debra’s wedding actually took place in the fall, but the blush details and endless greenery makes it perfect to inspire your spring and summer celebrations, too. BTW, don’t forget to check out the video clip from M D’s day by Wagtail Productions at the end of the post!

From Liz of Liz Linkleter Events: Debra and Max had an elegant and stylish Autumn wedding at one of England’s most beautiful venues, Sezincote, a 200-year-old Indian Moghul palace in the heart of The Cotswolds, set in a romantic landscape of temples, grottos, waterfalls and canals reminiscent of the Taj Mahal. The design of the day was elegant, stylish and timeless, celebrating the natural beauty of the venue and the surroundings. The couple chose a muted and soft colour palette of nudes and creams, with touches of gold, and plenty of darker foliage green.

Gah, this cake! Prettiest ever.

Palais Flowers dreamt up this stunning bridal bouquet and arrangements with blush dahlias, nude cream roses, and greenery to feel like an extension of the foliage at the venue.

After the ceremony, guests went inside for cocktails and canapés—and were greeted with this lovely (and beautifully scented) scene.

This whole place is straight from a fairytale, isn’t it?

For dinner and dancing, guests headed into a clear-roofed marquee in the grounds, designed to be an aesthetic extension of the Orangery. The ceiling was covered with a canopy of wild foliage and hundreds of strings of twinkling bulbs, which looked magical as darkness fell. Tables were dressed with floral arrangements full of nude and cream roses, dahlias, lisianthus, polyanthes, achillea, amaranthus, jasmine and clematis, with a mix of hundreds of nude taper and pillar candles to add drama and atmosphere. Gold flatware, delicate gold-rimmed glassware and illustrated menus finished their simple yet stunning tablescape.

The bride’s story… Max and I were eager to find a venue that felt set apart from the everyday world, and we knew we had found it when we first saw photos of Sezincote: an Orientalist vision in the middle of the Cotswolds, with a really unusual curved conservatory full of heady banks of jasmine and beautiful pale pink walls. It was such an evocative setting in which to get married to each other. Working with our wonderful planner, Liz Linkleter, we were able to put together a ceremony that reflected who we are together and the things we care about, from our awesome progressive Rabbi to the participation of our much loved friends and family members. After the ceremony, the celebrations continued into the night, under the expert guidance of the Soul Jets — possibly the world’s best wedding band! When the evening came to a close with an impromptu Oasis singsong and we went home together as a married couple, we felt very lucky.

Best wishes to the happy couple!
