We’re really jazzed up about today’s feature, Cakies. Like SO so excited to share. Ankita & Sankalp had one of the dreamiest weddings we’ve ever seen, in the beautiful Karst region of Slovenia. It was a two day affair, complete with a *color explosion* welcome brunch, a Sangeet Mehendi party at the Villa, oh, and the actual mountaintop wedding at a nearby castle. It’s all so perfectly executed, and we are obvs now instant fans of CARA creative co. and photographer Aluna Weddings!
This spectacularly colorful and creative Indian wedding will leave you wanting more, which is why we’re breaking it up into TWO PARTS for you. Below, find Day 1:
For Day 1, they hosted a Holi welcome brunch, their own version of a “love fest” complete with the fun little icebreaker of throwing colored powder all over one another, then dancing in the field! Most epic way to welcome guests, no?
By the evening, all 80 guests met at Villa Fabiani for the Sangeet and Mehendi party. Safe to say we’re obsessed with both of their stylish, colorful ensembles:
Ankita says, We designed our wedding celebration by choosing the bits and pieces from a traditional Indian wedding and a humanist wedding which held the most meaning to us, and best represented our relationship and love. Karin (our amazing wedding planner), by working her magic, was able to make this a reality and even exceeded our expectations!
When the sun went down, everyone gathered for a cozy dinner in the vineyards, which not only serves as incredible rehearsal dinner inspiration, but could totally be a wedding reception in itself!
CARA creative co. was behind the planning, styling and flowers for all events. Such talents!
Every bit of the welcome festivities encouraged guests to let loose and have a great time, yet everything was so elevated and beautiful. Best combo ever!
