Natural, bohemian nursery in Portland

Eeee! Those final days waiting for baby. Paige Jones, photographer and mama behind this sweet bohemian nursery is in the midst of all that magic right now, which makes it such perfect timing to share her fresh new space, dontcha think? She’s even offering up a few tips for collecting and curating a room that both mom and babe will find joy and peace in.

Cozy little nook in front of the windows…

As you’ll see if you check out the credits at the bottom, almost every piece in this room is secondhand! She was even able to score and revamp lots of Ikea staples via Craigslist. So nice to know that with all of baby’s expenses that it’s possible to create such a lovely space without breaking the bank.

This dresser? An Ikea hack inspired by Sarah Sherman Samuel’s dresser DIY. The paint is Valspar Cliveden Forest.

Paige says, I wish I could better describe the peace and emotions I feel when I’m in this space, thinking of all that is to come and the memories that will be made in it. Our pups absolutely love being in there, they are already so protective and are going to be the most incredible big brothers to this sweet babe.

  • A few tips:

    • Craigslist is your best friend… We found our changing table/dress on craigslist FOR FREE and gave it a new paint job and new knobs
    • Save your money on truly important things like artwork and unique plants
    • Sweet gifts can be used as décor, I love styling our little DIY shelves with gifts from friends and family
    • Baskets, baskets, baskets!

Check out the sources below. Congrats, Paige!
