High Fashion Fall/Winter Boho + Jewelry

From À LA MODEST :: Conservative Indie Fashion Style Blogger

Etro: Fall/Winter 2009

Peter Dundas: Fall/Winter 2013 – Miss Selfridge: Fall/Winter 2010

I’ve never generally seen myself as boho, but somehow these fall and winter runway outfits are definitely my cup of tea. I love the look of fur and just the whole organic feel of earthy tones layered in an outfit. The irony of boho and high fashion is even more intriguing. It’s so easy to switch the letters around and end up with the word “hobo” instead, which is even harder to mix with high fashion! Actually, not really.

I’m usually one to combine elements of style. I can’t classify myself as an-all vintage wearer or even retro. I can’t put a decade around my outfits either. I like vintage, but I also very much like futuristic. I like hippie being a yogi, but I also like modernism being a techie. I find beauty and truth in ironies, and that’s probably why I’m attracted to the high fashion boho.

Above are photos of me happy and hippie in 2013 and in 2010.

Besides clothing, there’s also in existence high fashion boho jewelry. Marvel at some beautiful selections below from Love and Pieces:

Love and Pieces just launched this summer, and already they are getting a lot of notoriety for their jewelry collections combining high fashion and you guessed it, boho. They have seventeen designers so far on board, and they are teeming with talent and creativity.

Even if you wouldn’t say that you were a fan of boho, I think the designs you’ll find on their site are appealing to a wide variety of taste. Like chunky and bold jewelry? Prefer sleek and minimalist? They’ve got all of that covered! Best part is, you know you are purchasing something unique and hand crafted. Works of art are priceless.

Not everything on Love and Pieces is expensive, actually! Take a look at one of the designers Gunner & Lux below. I just love the story of this dad and daughter duo. It reminds me of Polly Pocket’s and Cabbage Patch Kids’ humble beginnings!

Do you like the combination of high fashion and boho?
