Keeping Healthy: Overnight Oats Recipe


There's nothing like the feeling of waking up in the morning knowing your breakfast is already sorted. What's more, it's healthy, nutritious, and super filling! Give your past self a pat on the back, because overnight oats is the remedy to stressful weekday mornings spent in a rush. Simply throw together the night before, add some toppings in the morning, and you're ready to go. You might even have time to sit and enjoy that cup of tea now!






Ingredients


  • 1/3 cup wholegrain rolled oats - I used my homemade natural muesli mix
  • 1/4 cup greek yoghurt
  • 1/3 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • fresh fruit
  • shredded coconut and almond flakes to garnish

Method


  1. Combine the oats, cinnamon, yoghurt, and milk in a bowl or an empty jar
  2. Cover, and place in the fridge overnight
  3. In the morning, top with fresh fruit, shredded coconut, and almond flakes for crunch


That's it! You can't go wrong with overnight oats, and there are so many variations to try. I used seasonal sliced mango and fresh blueberries for a summery twist. Try adding chia seeds for a different texture, and mixing up the toppings with almond butter, poached stone fruits, or any type of berry!
