Amsterdam pt. 2

Amsterdam pt. 2

(Locations: O'Reilly's Irish Pub, Koninklijk Paleis Amsterdam, Red Light District, Red Light Secrets)
Continuing on from the last post, when night fell we had dinner at O'Reilly's pub, which we also visited in Brussels so we knew the food would be average to good. I had the Sunday roast in Brussels and this time I had it again as it was SUPER delicious.
After filling up with food, we checked out the Royal Palace of Amsterdam by night time and it may look really bland in the morning but at night it looks more like a palace. No trip is complete without souvenir shopping so we shopped for some bits and bobs.
Later on in the night we visited De Wallen or more commonly known as the Red Light District, which Amsterdam is also famous for. One of my gal pals wanted to visit the Red Light Secrets museum since the museum is open til 12 midnight.
(I will be doing a guide/review of the places we visited so stay tuned for that.)
The following day, we got up fairly early again for breakfast and Anne Frank museum and luckily as we'd anticipated, the queue wasn't long although it did start snowing as we were stood outside so we were freezing. We eventually got in but no photos we're allowed so you'll just have to watch 'TFIOS' to see what it's like inside.
As we finished the tour of the house the sun started showing up so we agreed to go to a canal cruise and then afterwards just go for a quick browse of the floating flower market.
Amsterdam may have been short but it was ever so sweet and I'm already anticipating my next visit to the city, hopefully during the Spring or Summer so I can also see the famous tulips.
