How to Help: Target and Kids In Need Help Supply Kids With School Supplies!

Hey y’all!

So, most of you know I’m a teacher. Many of you may not know, though, that I teach in a low-income, Title 1 school. This means that a certain percentage (in our case, 98%) of our kids are on free and reduced lunches. Because we are a Title 1 school, we get certain funds from the government to help support our school and kids.

One of the many organizations out there that helps students like mine is a personal favorite of mine, Kids in Need. In their more than 22 years, Kids in Need has provided more than $900 million in free school supplies to kids in need, nationwide. How does it work? Well, here in Atlanta, there is a Kids in Need warehouse, and teachers at Title 1 schools are eligible to come in twice a year and “shop” for school supplies for their kiddos. So, it’s basically teacher heaven. I’m not lying when I say that I look forward to my visits for weeks in advance!

Last year, Kids in Need provided 5.4 million kids with free school supplies. This year, they teamed up with Target to make an even bigger impact (if that is possible!) Target has promised a backpack filled with supplies for a child in need for every “like” or “share” of their video link, below. I mean, how stinkin’ easy is that?! YOU can help with just a simple click or two!

“Like” or share this Target video to provide a backpack filled with school supplies to a child in need! The deadline to help 725,000 kids is September 9!

Leave a comment below if you were able to help provide a kid with school supplies, just by Liking or Sharing the video! Thanks to Target and Kids in Need for helping kids in need, especially my own students! We literally could never thank you enough.

XO,

Amanda
