"Nothing New"

I hope you aren't bored of me. I've got nothing new. While I haven't quite hit nesting mode (though I feel like I'm close) I am not doing anything exciting either. It's ironic actually. One of my closest friends shared with me some exciting work news that requires her to travel abroad for the next three months. When she asked me how I was doing, I simply said, "nothing new or as exciting as that." She immediately squealed, "Of course you are! You're having a baby!"

Oh yea...

I'm not pretending to be aloof to the fact that I'm quite literally with child but, since I'm still going about my days, doing what I need and want to do, and life doesn't feel crazy different. My brain realizes the reality but my daily activities haven't faced that truth yet.

Don't get me wrong. This journey is wonderful. The ups and downs have been new and unique to me. Different but inspiring all the same. I worry and worry sometimes but, none of that will change the future or change the truth.

So yes, "nothing" is new with my mindset in the present but, my future? Oh, that is definitely going to be new and even exciting.
