Women to be Watching on Wednesday’s week #1

Welcome to my brand new series where each Wednesday I will interview an awesome female blogger so you can get to know a little bit more about her and go check out her blog.

So this week say hi to Sara from Sara Laughed. She is a college student studying Religion at Oxford University.

1. Give us the 3-5 sentence run down of your life (where do you live, are you married, do you have kids, what’s your job) Help me get to know you a little better!

I am a college student currently studying abroad at Oxford University in England. I study Religion and am hoping to become a social worker or grief counselor. I am a sister, a daughter, and a friend; the most important thing in my life is the people I love! On my blog, I write about life, love, and travel. I am also an advocate for mental health, and I have written about my experience overcoming an eating disorder in the hope of helping others.

2. What is one of the last things that you did just for you?

Last weekend, I flew from England to the Netherlands to spend the weekend with my boyfriend of
three years. Oxford can sometimes be a very stressful environment, so it was really nice for me to be able to get away and spend some time just relaxing with someone I love.

On a trip in Rome.

3. Where is the best place you’ve ever vacationed?

When I was in high school, my best friend took me with her family on a vacation to Bermuda! I had never been before and will probably never be able to go back, so it was a truly unforgettable experience. It was also so great to be able to share that experience and time with her.

4. What is a favorite quote?

“When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say, I used everything you gave me.” – Erma Bombeck.

5. Describe yourself in 3 words.

Caring, creative, imperfect.

6. Who has had the biggest influence in your life?

Definitely my mother. She has taught me everything, from how to sew, to what it means to be a strong woman. She is so driven and creative, and she never gives up on anything. I am honored to grow more like her as I get older.

You can keep up with Sara on Facebook, and Instagram and of course on her blog. Wherever you catch up with her, I am sure you will enjoy getting to know her.
