Badlands (ALEXANDERLIANG.com)

A few weeks ago, I heard through the grapevine on Twitter that Ontario’s Cheltenham Badlands would be closing to the public at the end of May. Having only ever seen the unique, badlands formation in photographs, I knew I had to squeeze a visit in, before the area closes (indefinitely) for conservation. Upon arriving at the site, I did have 2 initial thoughts: firstly, the badlands area is actually quite small and secondly, it’s totally as spectacular of a sight as I had imagined.

Fitting for the farmland area, I wore a pair of overalls that day with a simple white, pocket tee, paired with Nike Flyknit’s and mirror sunglasses for a sporty spin on the look. I’m really happy with the results of this shoot, which I find has a slight post-apocalyptic vibe or “life on Mars” type of feel. What do you think?
