Stampin’ Up! Sweet Cupcake

You know (Jerry!) I wasn’t going to get the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Cupcake set, but after playing with, I’m really glad I did.

These were our Wednesday Linc n Learn card this week. The card was inspired by Alison from Nice People Stamp. She had the IceCream cone from Sprinkles of Life where we’ve placed the Cupcakes.

This stamp set is a 3 step stamping technique. Each part of the cupcake (the patty pan and the frosting) require 3 layers of stamped colours to build up to what you see here. The patty pan colours are Sahara Sand, Smokey Slate and Basic Gray. The frosting is Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo.

For our second card, the patty pan is the same colour as the first card, but the frosting is Mint Macaron and Emerald Envy. The first layer of colour is the Mint Macaron stamped off onto scrap card first, the second layer is Mint Macaron at full strength.

I think I’ll be using this set more than I thought I would!

Here’s a full list of supplies I’ve used for both cards:

  • Stamp Sets: Sweet Cupcake Bundle (with matching Framelits), Labeler Alphabet
  • Cardstock: Whisper White Thick (Base), Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron, Gold Glimmer
  • Ink: Sahara Sand, Smokey Slate, Basic Gray, Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo, Mint Macaron, Emerald Envy, Memento Black
  • Other: Pop of Pink Washi Tape, Confetti Stars Border Punch, Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder

Don’t forget to use the code below when placing your orders via my Online Store. You’ll automatically be part of my Code Club… And we get an extra $50 to share up this month. Code closes on the 25th June.
