February 6-12, Our Homeschool Weekly Report, week 15

week 15
I have very few pictures this week, but I can tell you what we accomplished.
This week the boys went roller skating for First Friday Skating with other homeschoolers. Alex painted this picture of Purple Mountains' Majesty using cool colors.

James and Quentin wrote their paragraphs about The Song of Roland using these key words.
We studied the Song of Roland to finish up our study of the Carolingians and we began the Abbasid Dynasty, creating notebook pages on both of them. Quentin worked on his Medieval math project, (post coming) James worked on Pre-Algebra and Sam worked on Algebra II assignments. Quentin and James worked on their spelling and Sam wrote an opinion paper. Sam is continuing to do well with Rosetta Stone's Japanese program. We rehearsed the play we are doing this year, The Keeper of the Tales, and may have secured a stage to perform it on for Mother's Day. We read about muscles and planned some projects. We read about Abraham and Issac. We learned about Burma and had a Burmese meal.
We celebrated Lincoln's birthday with our traditional dessert log, this year's being an ice cream log. We planned to have guests over but the son, who has CF, started a new round of strong antibiotics and he felt too bad. We postponed the dinner until next week.
