Beaded envy

I could just say that this is the dress I wore when I met JC Chasez (aka my first true love) from N'Sync last weekend and leave it at that, but that wouldn't do it nearly enough justice. Though that definitely happened and I was definitely freaking out.

If you stop reading right now, I won't blame you because, honestly, what more is there? Life = made, right? But I would like to ramble on a bit about how much I love Rent the Runway. And love even more that we have a store here in Georgetown. When I stopped by in a last minute panic to find a dress for some White House Correspondents' Dinner festivities (not the dinner, just the parties), I knew this was theeeeee dress the moment I tried it on. I'll spare you the dramz about a cancelled order, a decent chunk of time on the phone/meltdown in a Nordstrom parking lot and a second trip to the store. In the end it all ended up working out thanks to their awesome customer service and my fairy godmother in the Georgetown store (hi, Damion!!).

Also, this dress (which is by Bibhu Mohapatra, by the way, a new favorite designer) truly tops my list of all-time favorite gowns. It's unlike anything I've ever worn and I totally felt like I stood out from the crowd. It's always hard to send back these gorgeous dresses, but this one was particularly difficult to part with ;)
