Insomniac Sale Picks: Paperbag-waist Shorts and Pants

*In this late-night feature – which will run on Tuesday and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*

Mary requested a few picks for paperbag-waist shorts and pants, so here we go:

This was a tough request, especially for finding petite, plus, and/or tall options, so I’ve included a few of those at the end instead of attempting to fold them in to individual picks!

Gap Tencel Paperbag-waist Short – was $44.95, now $20.14

Surprisingly, Gap has lots of paperbag options this season, but these shorts are the cutest, in my opinion. Tencel has great drape and is a little dressier than twill and denim, so these could be fun for a night out. They’re short with a 2.5″ inseam, but the cut and fit will likely make them feel a bit less revealing than structured shorts of the same length. Available in this gray as well as soft black in sizes XS – XXL. Size availability varies by color. Also in railroad stripe or bleached denim.

Denim Chambray Sash Waist Pant – was $69.95, now $45.95

This ankle-length lightweight chambray pant features straight-leg styling, side pockets, and a removable sash belt. The back of the waistband is elasticized for comfort, but the front has a flat closure and small ruffle attached above the band. Available in sizes 0 – 36W. This style can also be ordered in capri or shorts length, and you can opt to remove the pockets. (I might do that myself if ordering, since this style of pocket tends to wing out on figures with hips!) eShakti also has paperbag-waist shorts in railroad stripe in 0 – 36W.

Greylin Self-Tie-Waist Tapered Pant – was $138, now $59.40

The tie waist here is set into the pant, so you’ll see an elastic panel at the back. But this pretty, draped chiffon and versatile navy shade make this pair a winner. They’d look so lovely with a simple striped top and pair of espadrilles. Available in sizes XS – L.
