Swimwear as outerwear | Berlin

Because when your swimwear is this good, it can’t just be for the beach.

As soon as I saw this swimsuit on the Reiss website I immediately imagined it paired with a cute fit and flare skirt. It’s all about that back, and as you probably know by now, I do love anything backless or any garnment with an interesting back detail. Since I don’t have much going on in the boob department I like to make the back a statement – it’s sexy in a slightly more unassuming, mysterious way.

I honestly can’t wait to wear this to the beach also, I have this fantastic massive sun hat which has been tucked away until I go somewhere more tropical but for now, I love the idea of mixing things up a bit when it comes to dressing up for a day cycling around Berlin on a hot summers day.

You may be thinking “A skirt? On a bike? Aren’t you afraid it will blow up and everyone will see your knickers?” well, no. This skirt is probably the most perfect thing I could have worn for our biking adventures. The double layered fabric sits and falls beautifully, and since it has a bit of weight to it, it doesn’t billow in the wind in transit. Only when intentional.

We shot these photos at the famous Bauhaus Archiv which was a pretty sweet backdrop – FYI there’s a little café just to the right of these shots and I think we created some light entertainment for the people who looked at us with bemusement as they sipped their coffees. But hey, that’s the blogger life for you!
