Day of the Dead Sharpie Art
I found this skull drawing coloring page online, and turned it into a light gray image. A pencil is used to press the artwork into the foil that is glued to heavier paper, and then filled with marker color.
• Copy paper
• Water color or card stock paper
• Masking tape
• Aluminum foil, heavy weight
• Glue stick
• Sharpie markers
PREP: Print a Skull template for each student on copy paper.
To make a foil paper for each student, adhere a piece of aluminum foil to watercolor or card stock paper with a glue stick. Rub the each sheet carefully both horizontally and vertically with a glue stick to evenly cover the entire paper. Tear a sheet of foil that is slightly larger, press to the glue side and smooth. Trim the edges with a paper cutter. Tape a Skull template paper to the front of
1. Students use a pencil to trace the template art. It will leave an impression on the foil paper.
2. The template is removed and the art is filled in with Sharpie markers.
