Cuppa reads

What a week of camping this has been. We started out in the Pacific Northwest, then ventured south to a night in northern California (where I barely slept, what with my numb toes!), hung out with friends in the Bay Area for the weekend, zipped a bit east over near Sequoia National Forest, froze again in Flagstaff, Arizona, hightailed it to Albuquerque, and right now I’m writing from our humid Abilene campsite before we trek to our final stop—Austin. My hometown.

Phew.

Kyle and I were going to record a podcast after the kids went to bed, but seeing as it’s raining (in a tent! fun!), you wouldn’t hear our voices. So, we’ll record this week, and hopefully get it to you this weekend. For now? Here are some weekend reads. Grab your cuppa something and enjoy.

A guy figures out a brilliant way to make drawers. Color me mesmerized. via Digg

• I’ve stayed in Brooke’s house, and I can attest that she lives what she writes. Here, she reveals her minimalist wardrobe. via Slow Your Home

• This guy writes down 10 new ideas, every day, 365 days a year. His explanation of why is fascinating—I may have to start doing this. via James Altucher

• I love Nina’s wise words about creating a morning routine. They’re generous, approachable, and well, based on reality. via ShalomMama

• …and a final quick note that if you haven’t yet signed up for The Quietest Chambers, my monthly-ish, personal-ish email newsletter, you’ll miss the next issue I’m sending out this week. That is, unless you sign up. It’s free.

Happy end of May, friends. (Can you even believe it?)
