Hope everyone is having a good week! We’re in Utah and all of David’s family is town. I feel like I have finally recovered from our red eye here… Atticus cried for probably 3 of the 5 hours, it was horrible. We have gotten really spoiled with him never crying and being so good on all of our flights but he was just having an off night and it was so so rough. I started just crying on the plane because I didn’t know what to do, nothing we did helped him and he was just so sad! People were coming up to us after saying “Its a good thing he is cute….” and I felt so bad it is so stressful knowing everyone on the plane is trying to sleep and your baby is crying. A crying baby is stressful enough!
But I am sooo excited for the Fourth! David’s family always has a big slip n’ slide in his parents back yard so it’s going to be so fun to see Atticus go down it:) It’s SO hot but at least it’s dry. Fourth of July also reminds me of last year when Atticus got sick because it was the night of the Fourth that I started realizing something was off. He was in his little Fourth of July onesie when we took him to the hospital. If you remember my New Years post I shared the story with you of when that all happened :/ It was almost exactly a year ago today and it was such a sad time. At the hospital every night volunteers came and made dinner for the parents and families of patients and we thought it was the coolest/sweetest thing so tonight we are hosting the dinner and making everyone food. We are super excited!
I fell in love with this dress a while ago and snagged it on sale online – it is the perfect flowy dress for summer and I love that the waste band still works with a pregnant belly. I don’t like to wear “nice” things with Atticus for too long since I like to be able to pick him up if he is muddy or has food all over him so I usually will wear my nicer dresses for lunch dates/dinner dates or when we are doing something special. I had a lunch date that day I wore this and we went to run some errands beforehand but luckily Atticus stayed clean
Hope you all have a fun and safe 4th of July!
