SUPPER WITH THE CAMPBELL'S KIDS

I had a teacher who did not allow the use of the word "kid" when referring to a child. If someone said, "those kids", she responded with something like -- "and where are those goats now? Kids are goats, not children". So, I hesitate to use the word, but since they are known as the Campbell's Soup kids, I ask Mrs. Stickmon to forgive my use of the word in this post.
