Avon has recently launched Extra Lasting Collection which has Extra Lasting Lipsticks, Kajal Eyeliner & Liquid liner. I am reviewing 4 lipsticks from the same line today.
Avon Extra Lasting Lipstick comes in red & silver casing with shade names written on the bottom.
Shades – With almost 15 shades, this range offers lot of choices to us. I have received 4 shades from the brand –
Pink Perfection – A bright pink, with plum tones.
Stay Put Plum – A pure plum with purple sheen
Vibrant Coral – A beautiful coral color
Eternal Flame – Deep red
Texture & Formula – Avon Extra Lasting Lipsticks have smooth & creamy formula that glides on the lips effortlessly. It takes few seconds to set and then stays put without bleeding of feathering. True to brand’s claims the formula of these lipsticks is very moisturising, and lips don’t feel dry, not for once. None of the shades have shimmers or glitter in them , however the initial finish is slightly creamy, which sets into a semi-matte finish after few seconds. Formula feels a bit tacky, but nothing uncomfortable. None of the shades leave any tint behind.
Pigmentation – Avon Extra Lasting Lipsticks provide medium to buildable coverage. Darker shades like Eternal Flame & Stay Put Plum need two swipes to give even & opaque finish.
Staying Power - Contrary to brand’s claims none of the shades stay on me for more than 5-6 hours. Lighter shades like Pink perfection & Vibrant Coral have an average staying power (4-5 Hours), Stay Put Plum & Eternal Flame stay on a little longer.
Overall Thoughts
I love the texture & finish of Avon Extra Lasting Lipstick, its smooth , buttery and doesn’t move around lip lines. None of the shades settle into fine lines and feel comfortable throughout the wear. Formula is perfect for girls who struggle with dry lips. I wish they could have lasted a bit longer than 5 hours on me.
