I have a high addiction for anything that provides Glow!!And when I read about this primer being a dupe for MAC Strobe cream, I had to buy it.
About:’ A light replenishing base which illuminates the skin. It may be used as a base or alone. A fresh, light and silky soft formula that provides 8 hours of hydration.’
Shade- The L’Oreal Lumi Magique primer is a white colored pearlescent finish creamy solution that easily blends into the skin providing an instant glow.
Packaging – The packaging is adorable. Though it is nothing fancy or classy but very subtle and elegant with a cylindrical pearlescent white outer body. L’Oreal Lumi Magique Primer has a pump dispenser and a rose gold metal band that makes it more pretty. The bottle has to be shaken prior dispensing out the product.
Texture & Formula- The primer has a liquid consistency very much like MAC Strobe Cream. At first, I was quite confused as it doesn’t look like a primer (which are mostly thick, gel consistency).This is more of a hydrating primer. It doesn’t shrink pores or fill the face lines but it adds a luminous, brightening effect. The foundation slips easier and the overall look is more polished when this is used underneath. The pearlescent effect is really subtle and it will suit all skin tone. The formula did not clog my pores neither did it break me out.
Pigmentation- L’Oreal Lumi Magique primer provides a gorgeous glow which can be accentuated or lessened as per need. I usually require 2 drops of this for entire face. It gives an instant boost to the face. Also, this can be used under as well as over the foundation as a highlighter and it doesn’t look ashy or streaky.
Staying Power- The primer stays all through the time till I keep my makeup on. It doesn’t melt or make my face greasy. Also, my face feels fresh and hydrated. The foundation wear is also increased by and hour or so.
Overall Thoughts
I have been using L’Oreal Lumi Magique primer since the day I got it and I must admit that I am obsessed with this beauty. It is cost-effective, the formula is amazing and the glow is pretty. Also, the fact that this can be used as a highlighter makes this a multi-purpose product. I highly recommend checking this out if you like dewy, glowy skin. However, if you are looking for a pore filling primer then this is not for you.
