TOO FACED launched this line of lipsticks last year and this is the third shade I tried from their range. Where the two shades which I picked in initial launch were consistent, I’m finding this shade little different from them, not too much just the little bit of thickness which makes this bleed a little if not played careful.
Shade – Too Faced Melted Candy is warm toned Bright Fuchsia shade with soft coral touch it , it’s not at all blue based fuchsia and a colour which will flatter all skin tones easily . They have a cool toned option too in this range which is purpler based.
Packaging – It comes in squeezable tube with sponge tip, once you press the tube slightly the product surfaces on top and then you apply it directly on your lips. It gives precise application and you can also use a brush to apply this, however I find this okay.
Texture and Formula – The texture is very light weight and glides easily on lips, it doesn’t settle in fine lines after few hours but it can bleed if you are not careful. I recommend you to build it rather then apply in single layer.
Pigmentation – Too Faced Melted Candy is gorgeously pigmented and absolutely opaque in one swipe, I just squeeze it twice – one for upper lips and one for lower lips, it spreads quickly and you need very teeny tiny amount to hide pigmentation.
Staying Power – On my lips with mild eating Too Faced Melted Candy Lipstick stays for 5 plus hours, the satiny sheen fades quickly though but that velvety shade stays nice for hours. I always use a concealer around my lips so that there is a barer and the product doesn’t bleed, if you eat oily stuff it may bleed and fade fast.
Overall Thoughts
As much as I love all the shades I tried – 3 to be precise , am thoroughly enjoying them on my lips and the way they look for hours but I need to be little extra careful to make a barrier around my lips so that Too Faced Melted Candy Liquid Lipstick doesn’t bleed .
