MAC Summer 2013 All About Orange Lipsticks Review, Photos & Swatches

The MAC All About Orange Collection for Summer 2013 includes seven MAC Lipsticks ($15 USD / $18 CAD) in a variety of orange, coral and pink shades. This limited-edition collection celebrates the vibrant energy and modern edge of the color orange, with a collection filled with various, sophisticated orange-based hues. I feel like the lipsticks are the focal point of this collection; with seven shades to choose from a variety of orange, coral and pink tones, there’s something for everyone. Orange and coral lips are quite dramatic so they will also be the focal point of any makeup look, and keeping the eyes and cheeks simple is a great way to balance out the intensity. MAC Lipsticks have been a favorite of mine for years and I’ve always been impressed by their consistent quality and amazing colors.

I have two of the shades to show you today, including Razzledazzler, a light creamy peach, and Tart & Trendy, a bright orange cream. Both of these shades are Lustre textures, which I actually like a lot because they are a little more fool-proof and forgiving than some others. They have a sheer but buildable color and a slight sheen to them; they are also very comfortable to wear and I find that most of my go-to everyday lipsticks are Lustre textures.

I’m absolutely in love with Razzledazzler- it’s just the perfect coral color for me because even though it’s a bold shade, it goes on very softly on the lips and looks very wearable. Tart & Trendy is a great color too, and I found it to be much more pigmented then Razzledazzler, but it’s also very shocking and intense… so it’s not for the timid! Razzledazzler lasted about 3 hours on me without needing touch-ups, while Tart & Trendy went a little further to about 4 hours.
