Choose Healthy

Healthy, skinny and toned - the motto of millions of women yet many of them won't break a sweat for achieving it. Literally. We all wish to flaunt our bodies, be it in a cute crop top or in a sari. Although our body shape and many other factors about our physical appearance depends on the genes, however it is absolutely foolish to not work on your fitness and focus on "not looking unhealthy". A healthy body image is crucial for a positive life.

Change doesn't happen overnight and it takes a lot of dedication and hard work. If you're ready to start living a healthier, happier life, then only you can make it happen - starting today! If you really want to make a change, then do it!
  • Sweat a little.
Do something to break a sweat and get the heart rate up every day. Personally, I like taking a walk and sometimes running. Although I never took it up consciously and started out for the purpose of sports but it acts as a great stress reliever.
  • Eat healthy.
"The food you eat can either be the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison."
Let's face it, it is not possible to completely cut off junk food. If you make a regime like that in today's busy world- you might even end up not eating at all! And that is not the message here. I feel like as long as you eat a healthy lunch and dinner, you can get away with junk food. Having a balanced diet is far more effective than simply resisting food (read dieting). However every little change in lifestyle affects us. Make positive changes in your diet plan. You can try a Honey Diet for noticable results. http://www.daburhoney.com/
  • If you anyhow resort to dieting, it is better to know about the harmful effects of dieting and then making a choice. Personally, I don't feel like dieting can be a solution. An unhealthy choice can never really lead to a healthy life.
Set attainable goals and keep track of your progress. Incorporate the little changes into your daily routine and try to find at least five minutes to work out.
Committing to a healthier lifestyle is just that — a commitment, and it's a big one that will take a lot of work. But it will definitely be worth it! Remember, when you look good, you feel good. And we all know that saying "First they will ask you- Why? Then they will ask you- How?" Love yourself first and be the way you wish to be. I have friends who are quite insecure about their bodies but instead of taking up a fitness regime to try and change the situation, they give up food and hope nobody catches them trying to lose weight. Truth is, life can be quite difficult and people often tease each other beyond boundaries. But one very astonishing thing about body shaming is not only to spread needless hate but also make mockery of the ones who are trying to make a change just for themselves-just for a healthier life. And I must say, petite people face just as much if not more body shaming. I often wondered why skinny-shaming is okay but fat shaming is not? I believe both should NOT be okay. We all have the right to be the way we are and make changes to be the way be wish to be. Don't be afraid of the society. "Take care of your body. It's the only place you have to live in."
