Maybelline Brow Satin review: Love it
I have found my new favourite brow product! Maybelline Brow Satin Filling Powder Duo has a mechanical pencil on one end and a self loading powder applicator on the other.
I bought the shade Medium Brown which is a soft, neutral brown, perfect for getting natural looking brows. Both the pencil and the powder have a dry, matte finish and would be difficult to over-apply even if you use a heavy hand.
I had my brows tattooed two years ago and topped up a year ago (will blog about that one day). But I still find myself using brow colour when I can be bothered. Otherwise my brows can just look like coloured skin under sparse black hair if you look up close, rather than like nice bushy brows. For example, this is a before photo:
Maybelline Brow Satin is exactly what I need. The powder adheres not just to skin but also to brow hairs, giving a soft, airbrushed look to them. I don’t really need to use the pencil for extra colour because I already have the tattoo shading. But the powder is amazing. I love that the powder is contained in the lid and is loaded onto the applicator automatically. The applicator is a flexible smudger sponge which isn’t the first tool I’d think of for applying brow powder, but it’s actually perfect for the job. There is also no powder fall out. It takes me just seconds to apply.
