Na een handvol natuurlijke conditioners te hebben versleten, durf ik vandaag te zeggen dat ik “the one” heb gevonden. De Very Gentle Conditioner van A’kin by Purist is speciaal ontwikkeld voor de gevoelige hoofdhuid en tegen irritatie en allergieën. Who knew dat een witte, geurloze textuur niet saai hoeft te zijn? Eén blik op de ingrediëntenlijst en je weet dat het goed zit: niet al te veel bizarre namen of toxische bestanddelen. Wel een handvol zeer goed uitgekozen zachtmakende en hydraterende componenten.
After trying a dozen natural conditioners, I can finally say I have found “the one”. The A’kin by Purist Very Gentle Conditioner has been specially developed for sensitive scalps and to beat irritation and allergies. Who knew that one white, unscented texture does not have to be boring? One glance at the ingredient list and you know it’s good: not too many weird names or toxic substances. However, yes to a handful of well chosen softening and moisturising components.
Ingrediënten
Aqua (water), cetearyl alcohol (maakt de conditioner dikker, creëert een emulsie. Lush heeft een goed artikel over dit ingrediënt op hun website staan), glycerin (op zich een zeer uitdrogend ingrediënt, maar in combinatie met andere stoffen maakt het je huid net zacht en gaat het irritatie tegen), sorbitol (hydraterend en maakt de textuur dikker), behentrimonium methosulfate (één van de beste ingrediënten om je haar “kambaar” te maken na het wassen, weinig kans op irritatie), macadamia ternifolia seed oil (olie uit de macadamia noot, verzachtend), butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter (all-in-one: tegen rimpels, droogheid, zonnebescherming, …), hydrolyzed oats (verzachtend), lecithin (hydraterend en herstellend), simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil (tegen irritatie), glyceryl laurate (verzachtend), panthenol (geeft je haar meer volume, hydraterend), potassium sorbate (natuurlijk(er) alternatief voor parabenen), citric acid (het minst fijne ingrediënt, want deze valt onder de Hydroxy Acids. Maar in kleine hoeveelheden aanwezig, dus maak ik me weinig zorgen. Regelaar voor de pH en zorgt ervoor dat andere ingrediënten beter hun werk doen), sodium gluconate (in verband met chemische verbindingen), persea gratissima (avocado) oil (all-in-one: tegen rimpels, droogheid, huidbeschadigingen, …), rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract (antimicrobiële werking, verzachtend).
Ingredients
Aqua (water), cetearyl alcohol (makes the conditioner thicker, creates an emulsion. Lush has a good article on this ingredient on their website), glycerin (in itself a very dehydrating ingredient, but, in combination with other substances it softens your skin and beats irritation), sorbitol (moisturizing and makes the texture thicker), Behentrimonium methosulfate (one of the best ingredients the industry can use to make it more easy to comb through your hair, little risk of irritation), macadamia ternifolia seed oil ( oil from the macadamia nut, soothing), butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter (all-in-one: against wrinkles, dryness, extra sun protection …), hydrolyzed oats (soothing), lecithin (moisturizing and healing), simmondsia chinensis ( jojoba) seed oil (against irritation), glyceryl laurate (soothing), panthenol (gives your hair more volume, hydrating), potassium sorbate (a more natural alternative for parabens), citric acid (the least okay ingredient, because a Hydroxy Acid. But present in small amounts, so no need to worry. It’s a controller for pH and allows other ingredients to do a better job), sodium gluconate (associated with chemical compounds), persea gratissima (avocado) oil (all-in-one: against wrinkles, dryness, skin damage, …), Rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract (antimicrobial, soothing).
Ik kan jullie werkelijk niets negatief vertellen over deze conditioner: mijn haar voelt zacht aan, kamt gemakkelijk door, ik heb geen last meer van statische elektriciteit en de stijl -of krultang werkt perfect zonder pluizig resultaat. Oké, de prijs is wat aan de hoge kant in vergelijking met de alom gekende Ultra Doux of L’Oréal. Maar ik ben bereid die 12 euro op tafel te gooien als ik zo’n mooie ingrediëntenlijst én een geweldig resultaat in de plaats krijg. Eén advies: buy and try!
I can’t think about one negative point whatsoever; my hair feels soft, it’s easy to comb through, I no longer suffer from static electricity and the straightener and curling iron work perfectly without fluffy results. Okay, the price is a bit on the high side compared to the well known Ultra Doux and L’Oreal. But I’m willing to spend those 12 euros when I get a nice list of ingredients and a great result in place. One piece of advice: buy and try!
