My 6 Beauty Resolutions for 2015

I have a feeling I am going to be starting a lot of posts with, girls this year is flying by. I already want to say it and we are still in the first month of the year, but I cannot believe it's the 22nd already. Where has the time gone, I never even said Happy New Year.

It's a new year and that usually means cha-cha-changes are on the horizon. I'm hoping 2015 is going to be a stand out year for me. My personal life is changing. I recently got engaged so don't be surprised if you start seeing me pinning lots of wedding related things. My professional life will changing a bit as I embark on some new business ventures. Last but not least you will see some changes to Beyond Beauty Lounge! If you stop over here often you may have already noticed I am in the middle of a re-design. It's not finished yet, but I am super excited about the new direction.
With a new year comes new goals or resolutions, things we pledge to do or stop doing. The Beauty Council Team thought it would be fun to share some of our Beauty Resolutions for 2015.
It's time for some action, I have a few modifications I should make in relation to beauty, so here are my top 6 Beauty Resolutions for the New Year.
♥ Not only do I need to get more beauty sleep, I need to improve my quality of sleep. I want to overhaul my bedroom and turn it back into a sanctuary. New bedding, new curtains, and less clutter. I'm debating on removing the TV from this room also and making a place I only go to sleep. We will see how that goes.
♥ Confession, increasing my water intake has been a struggle for the past few years. I have gotten a lot better but I am not where I need to be. Drinking more water will help improve my overall health, and skin so it is a beauty must!
♥ I tend to be a bit predictable when it comes to my look at times. Neutrals are my friend, I very rarely wear bold makeup colors. I want to challenge myself to break out of my comfort zone and unleash my inner DIVA once in a while. Maybe a bold lip, or some funky nail art. The goal is to at least try some new things.
♥ I probably own at least 5 eye lashes curlers so it really is ridiculous that I never curl my lashes. Curling your lashes is one of the quickest ways to make your eye lashes appear longer, thicker and fuller thus really opening up the eye and making them pop a bit. With my small eyes this really is a step I shouldn't be skipping.
♥ Another confession, I cannot be trusted with tweezers. There are two things I should never be allowed to own, tweezers and a magnifying mirror. What starts out as a little cleanup ends in tiny thin, shapeless brows. Be prepared for me to be sporting some unruly brows for a bit as I try to let them grow back in. Once they come back a bit, I am putting down the tweezers and leaving my shaping to the professionals.
♥ Last but not least this year I plan to have more me time. I used to be so good at setting aside time for pampering and I have fallen off. I can't tell you the last time I had a massage or a facial and I really miss treating myself to those extras. I'm hoping to fit in at least one pampering day a month this year whether I treat myself to a salon/spa visit or do it at home.

Are you a resolutions type of gal? I would love to hear about what pledges are on your list for the new year
