At Home Acai Bowls


Feeling a little stuffed after yesterday's snack binge? Well, if you attended a Super Bowl party, I'm sure there were no shortage of salty delicious treats. So to start your week off right I have an easy at-home Acai bowl.

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. Acai Juice
  • 1 Packet Acai Bowl / Smoothie Mix Frozen Packet
  • 1 Cup Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp Agave Syrup
  • Ice Cream Maker (will be needed for this recipe)

Toppings:

  • Strawberries (chopped)
  • Banana (sliced)
  • Chia Seeds
  • Granola
  • Honey (drizzled)

Directions:

Using a whisk, mix Acai juice, frozen packet, greek yogurt and agave syrup in a large bowl. Once the consistency is smooth, and no lumps longer exist add to ice cream maker.

Transfer Acai mixture to ready-to-use ice cream maker. The machine I use, requires the bowl to be frozen, so prepare this in advance if required. The duration of this may vary from 15-25 minutes depending upon your machine.

The consistency should be completely frozen and resemble a creamy texture. Remove mixture and scoop into a dish. Add desired toppings and enjoy!
