Gone Wild by Ever McCormick
Ina has just graduated college and badly needs to get away for a little while. Two months ago, she caught her boyfriend cheating on her and, due to a mistake she made that went viral, she hasn’t had any luck getting a job. Understandably, Ina needs to clear her head. And where is the perfect place to do this? On a deserted mountain where there’s only you and a sexy, sexy man…and possibly a killer on the loose?!
This book was short and sweet. I wouldn’t call it anything too special, but it was well-written, I liked the characters, and I’ve never read a book where the characters were out in the “wild” like that, so I did enjoy it.
But there were a few things that I didn’t like. First of all…it’s called “skinny dipping,” not “naked dipping.” C’mon, I mean, seriously? There is also a part later in the book when Ina gets a surprise visitor, and I really didn’t like the way she handled the situation. The way she acted just didn’t make sense at all.
I also wish that there had been more sex in this book. I thought that the author did a really good job making the sex in this book super hot, but I’m almost hesitant to label Gone Wild as New Adult, because there is only one sex scene.
Lastly, I thought that the ending to the book was a little bit cheesy. But it was cute! I’d definitely consider reading more from this author in the future.
