Velvet Boobtube Maxi Dress | My Ensemble (OOTD)
Yesterday was my birthday, so a bunch of my close friends and I went out for a celebratory meal at Tom's Kitchen, Canary Wharf (yes, I know it seems like I spend most of my life in CW - I'm beginning to think so, too).

I initially bought a different outfit, but had to return it for an exchange because it did fit - the zip didn't go past my derriere! But when it started to dawn on me that I wouldn't get a replacement in time, I opted for this velvet number. Tucked away in my wardrobe, I had never worn it before, so whisked it out and, as if by divine intervention, had one of those 'yes' moments in front of the mirror.
Velvet = luxury, and I love how this dress creates a flattering silhouette by hugging all the right places, yet still allowing me to feel free.

Oh yes, almost forgot to mention: new hair. Got one's hair did in pick n' drop braids as a protective style for autumn (the season is officially here).
So, we dined well and were merry (Eating Out post here).
Anything with passionfruit in it, I'm having it!
