Our Valentine’s Day Table & Dinner Party

L’AMOUR EN FÊTE

We started a Valentine’s Day dinner a few years back that has become a tradition in our home. L’amour en fête…the love feast. Instead of trying to find a babysitter and go out to a crowded restaurant, we dine at home. We make some sinfully delicious food and treats, buy the fancy chocolates from the artisan chocolatier in town, and float away on the bubbly. My kids look forward to it every year and they love to help put the meal together. It has officially become a “thing”.

Sometimes we invite friends for more of a dinner party atmosphere, but this year with all the remodeling encroaching on our common spaces, we are opting to have it be just our little family. I love to entertain, so hopefully (fingers-crossed), that will be back in full swing soon! I also love to put a table together, so here are some shots of our Valentine’s Day table this year. Sources at the end of the post.

tray | gold flatware | matches | placemats | bowls Ciroa at TJMaxx | white plates | notecards Target Dollar Spot

*Please note everything else is an heirloom or flea market find.

We brought the table out in front of the fireplace so we could be warm and cozy. Always a nice touch. I am ready for some quality time with my favorite people. Let the cooking begin!

Happy Valentine’s Day!
