He's Building Me a Table.....

Morning Lovelies! I hope that your week is starting itself off right! For me, its my birthday, so I am definitely enjoying this Monday. I have an outing planned with the kids, a bit of shopping, and some Yogurtland on the agenda. Have you all tried Yogurtland? A friend told me about it a month or so ago....and now I'm hooked! It's amazing!! They have this red velvet frozen yogurt which is to die for! I totally break my no-dairy rule for Yogurtland. I decided to treat myself and the kids to this sweet treat to help celebrate my big day. Later we have Sweet Tomatoes on the menu for dinner. I'm super excited!
In honor of my birthday and Mother's Day, Hubby is making me a BIG kitchen table. I have always been obsessed with those huge farmhouse tables, so he decided to make me one himself. He is using re-purposed wood. He's been working on it for the past two weekends and is hoping to be done in time for Mother's Day dinner with my family on Sunday. I can not wait! Here is a bit of the progress so far. There is still sanding to be done, staining, and some benches to be made....Oh and it needs a top still. I've been loving seeing it transform into a little masterpiece. I envision our family gathering around it for years and that makes my heart so happy. We have a goal of adding more homemade items into our home, so this puts us right on track with our goal. He recently built a small bookcase for our library books as well (yes we checked out so many books from the library that we need a bookshelf to house them. haha!)
I am so thankful for my sweet Hubby and the hard work he is putting into our new table. It will be so fun to finally be able to gather around it and share a meal. I love dreaming with that man of mine!
